CLINTON—Anderson County residents who are interested in serving on local government boards are invited to apply now for several positions.

The Anderson County Mayor’s office is accepting applications to fill a single vacancy on the Conservation Board. The Anderson County Conservation Board oversees operation of the county parks.

Also, the Mayor’s office is accepting applications for four at-large members, one veterinarian or professional with an advanced degree in animal science, as well as one member representing an animal welfare, non-profit, 501(c)(3) for a new Animal Shelter Advisory Committee that will work with the mayor to further advance the goals of sheltering lost, abandoned and forgotten animals.

Applications for both boards will be accepted through Friday, February 6, 2026 and can be obtained by calling or emailing the mayor’s office or visiting online at andersoncountytn.gov; the applications are posted to the website’s homepage.

Completed applications must be emailed to tfrank@andersoncountytn.gov.
