Notice to Anderson County residents: The Wolf Valley Convenience Center will be partially closed on Friday, April 17th, for the replacement of one of the garbage compactors. The fourth compactor in line is being replaced with a brand new one and there will be limited access to the far end of the Convenience Center away from the entrance. The recycling compactor and the first two garbage compactors will be open, as well as the Open Top container for bulk items. The last two compactors and the area past them will be blocked-off for the installation, and there may be limited access to the shed for oil drop-off. The install will take from half a day to potentially all day.

The Anderson County Park System is owned by Anderson County Government and operated through the Conservation Board. The county park system has seven parks and ramps throughout the county. The premier park in the system is Anderson County Park. This park consists of a campground, public boat ramp, public swimming area, playground area, two picnic shelters, and a nature trail.
The Anderson County Park system also has a park with picnic tables and a playground at Gibbs Ferry Park, Bull Run Park, Marlow Park, and the Kid’s Palace. The boat ramps managed through the Anderson County Park System are at Anderson County Park located on Norris Lake and Gibbs Ferry,
