CLINTON—The Anderson County Senior Center is set to host its first-ever homecoming dance “Under the Stars” this week.

The dance is scheduled for Thursday evening, September 25th at the Anderson County Senior Center located at 96 Mariner Point Drive. The event, which is free to seniors age 60 and older, will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. It will feature musical entertainment from Knoxville-based vocalist Fredda Valentine Temples. There will be space for dancing and light refreshments will be provided.

Seniors are urged to dress in their best and be ready to spend a few hours “Under the Stars” at the event that’s anticpated to be a fun time for the participants to dance and mingle among friends. To finish preparations for the dance, the Anderson County Office on Aging and Senior Center will close at 3 p..m. on September 25th.

The Anderson County Senior Center hosts numerous programs each month for senior citizens, age 60 and older. The Anderson County Senior Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Anderson County Office on Aging and Senior Center are funded, in part, under a grant contract with the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency.
