CLINTON—Anderson County Government offices will be closed for the Christmas holidays on Wednesday and Thursday, December 24 – 25, and for New Year’s Day on January 1, 2026.

The Anderson County Animal Shelter and the Blockhouse Valley Recycling Center, both located at 1480 Blockhouse Valley Road, will be closed on Dec. 24th, 25th, and January 1st. Staff will care for the animals regularly throughout the holiday closures.

All Anderson County trash convenience centers will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on both Christmas Eve and on New Year’s Eve. The centers will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Anderson County Commission sets the county’s holiday schedule each year. These holiday closures will not affect emergency services in the county.
